Yesterday I got coupons in the mail for more free Pace salsa and M & M's. Today I got an email from Dole that I'd won a $25 gift card to Bed, Bath and Beyond! Whoo hoo!

I haven't won anything so far this week, but I did receive 2 Pace coupons in the mail for free salsa and a coupon for a free bag of M & M's. Both were won about a month ago.

This morning I received an email from Dish Network telling me that I won a plush Dora the Explorer doll which my little daughter is going to love! I was so excited to see I'd won one of these, and I think it will be here by Christmas. Yay! Tonight, I won another jar of Pace salsa. Now, if I could just win the Powerball lottery....

I know, I know. I've been completely negligent in keeping you up to date on my recent winnings. Since my last post, I've won a couple of free bags of M & M's on the Mars Halloween Million Dollar mansion game, a couple of free jars of salsa from Pace, and $20 from Coke. I've received some more goodies in the mail, too. I got a free t-shirt from Miller Icehouse.



I didn't get any notification that I won. They just sent it. My brother got a nice t-shirt out of that deal.

I also received the La Victoria salsa coupons that I won a couple of months back in the last day or two. For some reason, that product is not distributed in this area, so I swapped those with another sweeper on my favorite sweeping site, Sweetie's Sweepstakes, for some cinnamon roll coupons and free cereal coupons. At least I won't starve, right? Although I'm not sure what a diet of salsa, chocolate, cinnamon rolls and cereal might do to you....

I Love Mail!!!

I am one of those people, that despite the possibility of receiving a bill, gets highly depressed if I go to my mailbox to find it empty. I'm like Charlie Brown when he doesn't get a Valentine. I think the least somebody could do is send me some junk mail. So you can only imagine my excitement when I came home from a long weekend visiting my parents with my daughter, to find that not only did I have mail, but I had packages. Some of the prizes I'd won in May and June are starting to arrive. I've received my Bolle sunglasses from Miller,



a candy dispenser from Jelly Belly



and today I got my sunchaser kit (koozies, bottle opener, chapstick) from Miller.



Whoo Hoo! I'm ecstatic! And yesterday I won $20 from Coca Cola. I can't wait to check the mail tomorrow.

I think I am proving the theory that you have to play to win. I'm totally off schedule and have played very little the last couple of weeks. Needless to say, I haven't won much. I did add another jar of Pace Salsa to my collection just before that instant win game ended. Now they are doing another IWG, but no money is involved. Just coupons for salsa. But still, free is free, right?

A Very Dry Week

I guess I shouldn't have complained about re-winning music downloads I already had and jars of salsa I can't find in the store. This week I have won absolutely NOTHING!!! Not a thing. By the way, someone asked what I plan to do with all the salsa coupons. I will probably trade my salsa coupons on Sweetie's site if I ever get them and since I've won about four of the Pace coupons, I've used some for myself and I've given some to family. I use my "money" winnings as mad money for fun things like gifts for people or going out to dinner or a movie--things I don't really have money for in my budget anymore. Maybe this dry spell means I'll be winning big next week? Keeping my fingers and toes crossed!

So Disappointing

This week has been frustrating. It's not that I haven't won anything. I have. I've won 4 Rascal Flatts music downloads from Hershey's. Unfortunately, there's only two songs to choose from, and I've already downloaded them from previous wins. Bummer! I've also won 3 coupons for free jars of salsa. I've never heard of the brand (La Victoria) and I'm not even sure it's marketed in this area, so we'll see how valuable that turns out to be. So, not very exciting. No thrill of victory. Not even the agony of defeat. Just the utter blahness of winning without much to show for it. See? I told you it was disappointing. But, on a lighter note, it is a holiday weekend and no work tomorrow! Yay! Hope everyone has a happy 4th of July!

Successful Sweeping

I am just exhausted! Sweeping is like having a second job. :) I spend at least an hour a day playing Instant Win games (my fave--I like the rush of instant gratification) and entering sweepstakes. Thank goodness for Roboform! That saves so much time. If you are starting in the sweepstakes game, you definitely should download that program. It is free. I have won two more coupons for free Pace picante sauce and won $5 two more times from Honey Nut Cheerios since I last reported my winnings. I'm still waiting for that big win!

The good fairy settled upon the petal of a daisy to ponder important thoughts. The day was bright and cheery, and soon, the good fairy was fast asleep in the warm sun. When she awoke, she noticed a lady bug nestled upon the petal of the daisy beside her. “Greetings, fair one,” the good fairy said. “What brings you to this same petal?” The lady bug wrinkled her forehead for a moment, and then replied, “I’ve come to ponder important thoughts.” The good fairy smiled. “So have I, but the sun was so bright and warm, that I fell asleep without any answers. Have you come to any conclusions?” she asked the lady bug. “I think I have,” the lady bug nodded. “I believe that Love is the most important thing of all. Pure Love makes you kind, accepting, empathetic, and brave. All you need is Love.” The good fairy nodded in agreement. “Hey, didn’t the Beatles write that in a song?” The lady bug grinned sheepishly, being a beetle herself, and said, “Yes, but that doesn’t make it any less true.” The good fairy couldn’t argue. “Lady Bug,” the good fairy sighed, “I’m glad you nestled upon the petal of this daisy beside me. I feel that we shall be life-long friends.” The lady bug nodded. “Indeed we shall.” The two hugged one another around the shoulders and were both soon fast asleep in the bright, cheery embrace of the warm sun.

Slowing Down

A lot of the instant win games that I was having good success with have now ended, but I have won $10 from the Honey Nut Cheerios game and a coupon for free Pace picante sauce in the last week so I'm still on a streak, I guess. Sweeping is fun and keeps me out of trouble for the time being. :)

On a Roll Again?

I won 3, count 'em, 3 instant win games this morning. And I do mean "morning"--like between 3 and 4 AM this morning. That was a ridiculous time for me to be awake since I am sleep deprived already, but I decided that since I was up, I may as well try a few games. I won another $20 gift card from Coke (which is really $25) bringing my grand total so far to $100! I also won free movie tickets from Coke. And for the first time, I won something in the Hershey's Rock your Block contest. I got a free Rascal Flatts song download. Not too shabby, eh?

Source of income?

I won another $20 gift card from the Coke instant win game yesterday. What is really cool is that they actually put $25 on the card. My total money winnings to date is now $75. I've read that some people use sweeping as a means of supplementing their income. I'd love it if I could win enough for that to be a viable option. I mean, $75 is great for grocery money or other necessities, but it's hardly a living. It will come in very handy, though.

It would be nice to win a TV, also. Mine is about to bite the dust, I think, from the cracking and the popping noises it makes sometimes. I hope it doesn't blow up!

Today, I finally unpacked the sewing machine that I bought for myself a couple of weeks ago. A friend gave me a Target gift card for my birthday, so I used it to get the sewing machine. Now, if I can just remember how to thread it.... It comes with a manual, but reading it would take away the challenge, wouldn't it?

I haven't done any sewing in about 12 years, but I'm hoping the hang of it will come back to me. I want to make baby girl some cool Halloween and dress up costumes.

Blue, blue, blue

My winning streak has come to an end. Nothing since Sunday. I couldn't even win toiler paper! I'm so bummed. I have to say that the Instant Win games are pretty addictive. I guess it's the instant gratification--heady stuff!

Baby girl was up most of the night coughing. She has asthma so I was pretty worried and took her to the doctor this morning, but her lungs are clear. Her sinuses are draining, poor dear. The pollen around here has been crazy.

Rain, Bubbles and Winning

I can't believe it, but I won another $20 gift card this afternoon from the Coca Cola sweepstakes while my baby was taking a nap. Why my luck kicks in today instead of last night for the Powerball drawing is a hypothetical query rife with irony, but I'm not thumbing my nose at $20. $170 million does have a pleasant ring, though.

It's been overcast and raining a good part of the day, but baby and I still went outside and played on the porch several hours today. She just loves to be outside and doesn't seem to mind if it's cloudy. I blew lots of bubbles for her which entertains her endlessly. She also thinks I'm funny, but she's a pretty easy audience. ;) Of course, I find her even more fascinating. I can just see those little wheels turning, especially when she hears the word "no". She does not care for that at all, but none of us do, really, do we?

A couple of the sweeps I've been entering ended today, so I've gotta go find some more to enter. Hope my lucky streak lasts for a while....

A Good Week

Well, I've only been "sweeping" since May 7, and I won a $20 gift card the first day. Wednesday this week, I won two free movie tickets. This morning, I checked my email, and among all the Nigerian money scam spam (don't you hate that stuff???), I'd won some Bolle sunglasses from play yesterday and today I won a Miller Sun-Chaser Kit (chapstick, bottle opener, and bottle koozie). Not bad for doing nothing but play on the computer. Now all I need to do is win one of those big money contests. Or Powerball.....

I'm off to do what I do best--procrastinate on all the things I should be doing. Anyway, gotta go play some games and win some stuff while I'm on a roll! Mama needs some new barbeque tongs! (Honestly, there's a giveaway for those...)

Not a Loser Anymore

On May 7, 2009, I entered the bright shiny world of online sweepstakes entry for the very first time. My hands trembled as I read the Official Rules and held my mouse, poised to strike the "Click to Enter" link. Dared I hope to be an Instant Winner? Could I aspire so high? I took a steadying breath, and launched into action. The link had been clicked. My life hung in the balance as the pretty Flash graphics reloaded. A decision came--"Thanks, but you are not a winner. Please play again tomorrow." Could there be a kinder way to tell me that I am a loser? The sweepstakes gods are so courteous.

But wait--all is not lost! This sweepstakes allows you to play twice a day and a winner is declared every 5 minutes. Should I play again immediately? Or wait until some strange hour during the day? I decide to wait.

An hour later, I sat before my computer screen, mesmerized by the pretty colors. There it was again--"Click to Enter". I heard Liza Minnelli singing in my head, "Maybe this time, I'll be lucky. Maybe this time I'll win...." I pressed the mouse. Once again I waited for the spinning color graphics. I blinked. Could it be? "Congratulations! You've won a $20 Gift Card!" Whaaat??? I won? I won! I won! I won! I'm a winner! Sing it, Liza! "Not a loser anymore, like the last time and the time before..." Gotta love Liza. And I love winning!!!
